I realize there’s something incredibly honest about trees in winter, how they’re experts at letting things go.

And you taught me what this feels like.
And then how it feels to lose it.
And you showed me who I wanted.
And then who I wasn’t.
And you ticked every box.
And then drew a line.
And you weren’t mine to begin with.
And then not to end with.
And you looked like everything I wanted.
And then became something I hated.
And you get thought of every day.
And then not in a good way.
And you let me leave.
And then wish I’d stayed.
And you almost killed me.
But I didn’t die.

I hope things are beautiful. And if they’re not, then I hope you remember this moment right now when they are. Because you’ve got to hold up each and every other moment to the moment when things are beautiful and say

“Look. I told you. Remember this.”

So Comes Love

let it go – the
smashed word broken
open vow or
the oath cracked length
wise – let it go it
was sworn to
go

let them go – the
truthful liars and
the false fair friends
and the boths and
neithers – you must let them go they
were born
to go

let all go – the
big small middling
tall bigger really
the biggest and all
things – let all go
dear

so comes love

I simply enjoy taking hundreds of mental notes about humanity. Bags of bones with codes and tales, living around like puppets on string, all of the joy or sorrow, beliefs and disbelief form a sensible art with a time span which is miniscule to the existence of the universe. If there is a God, the blink of its eye would last the infinity of the universe, we know nothing yet our lives speak loudly in abundance. I want to meet everybody in the world, and if I could I would touch their fingerprints too. I am constantly consuming the energy from passerby. I read their lives in their eyes, my skin rises as my hair reaches out to their passing vibrations, and my existence feels less futile.
